Stolen Rx300 Key

My wife got her purse stolen yesterday with one of our RX300 remote entry keys in it. I was wondering what needs to be done to change the locks (preventing anyone from using her key). I still have my remote entry key.

Contact your insurance company. I know mine will replace all keys and locks if they go missing.

It doesn't look like my insurance will cover this. I am imore nterested in the mechanics of what needs to be done.

about 1000 for new keys another 3000 for new locks and labour maybe more depending .

Just buy a new replacement key and leave it at that.

Or even better buy a boomerang security system to find it if it gets stolen which is much cheaper and might lead you to the theif of the purse ,if they are nuts enough to come get it. as they already know where you live and have the keys.

You could also have that key deactivated from your RX's memory. They could still unlock the car by using the actual "key" portion in the door, but they would not be able to start the car or unlock it with the remote.
