jccan37 Posted November 29, 2008 Share Posted November 29, 2008 I just bought a 2006 GS300 AWD w/ML stereo system and had issues with the stereo knocking out when I turned on the rear defogger. I brought it to my dealers service dept. but they said its a common problem with the GS's and theirs nothing they can do. I found it funny b/c I have had older crappier cars that never had such a ridiculous factory issue. I've seen that some of the newer GS's have the shark fin antenna on their roof's, is this b/c of some upgrade feature or b/c this is the solution to the problem. 1990LS400 Posted November 29, 2008 Share Posted November 29, 2008 "There is nothing they can do" is not an acceptable answer. Call Lexus corporate customer service and complain loudly. We have a similar set up in both our 98 Camry and our 00 LS and have no problems with radio reception when we turn the rear window defroster on.
