Hd Digital Radio

Are there any options for adding HD Digital Radio (not Sirius or XM Satellite)

to the Lexus? Dealer installed options? Aftermarket options?

Anyone with any experience here?

I'm having a hard time believing that the benefits of HD radio would be noticeable even in a car as quiet as an LS unless it was parked with the engine off.

Peripheral Electronics has an interface and HD Radio tuner that can be installed. It also offered ipod integration using the steering wheel controls.

A quiet car is exactly where you WOULD hear the difference between regular FM (limited s//n ratio, high compression)and HD, which is comparable to CD quality sound (100db s/n ratio and less compression of source material).
