jspravka
Body shop says a new one costs $392. I've looked around on the internet but couldn't find one. Found lots of inexpensive universal actuators but don't know if they would fit. Anybody have any helpful info?
lenore
Read this post on the RX300, it may give you some ideas as to adding a universal lock cylinder or it may overwhelm you with the degree of mechanical expertise you need. I did this on my RX300 and it works great. That is after replacing the lock cylinder about 5 years ago. The universal is a great deal cheaper but requires some mechanical skills and creativity. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...c=41219&hl=
steve2006
I had one go on my 94 LS and it turned out to be the motor inside the lock mechanism, you have to remove the inner door panel then the complete lock assy ( tutorial on lexls) I then bought a secondhand lock assy ($30.00) but it was for a series 3 and the connecting rods are different but managed to strip both down and replace the motor. Have a look on Ebay for a parting out LS.
