jimgar Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I have after market rotors that were replaced 1 year ago. I was replacing the front brake pads. Left front rotor was tight and sturdy, however when I removed the caliper on the right front the rotor was very loose. I pulled it off by hand after removing the rotor housing (if that's what it';s called). My question is what holds the rotor tight in place is it the lug nuts and the brake pads. I am afraid to put it back together and drive. I expect the lug nuts hold it in place but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks in advance. Jim
SKperformance Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 the lug nuts hold them , OEM rotors usually have 2 screws on the hubs to hold them in place tightly as well.
