last friday,i've put gas in my 94 ls before heading out w/friends,the following sat afternoon,i was leaving my apt complex and stepped on the gas,the car started to jerked and bucked like a wild horse!!!it was like i couldn't go anywhere!!when i drive the car normal,it rides like there is nothing wrong, only when i try to pass or go fast thats when the "check engine light"comes on then it goes off after i take my foot off the pedal to drive normal!!i've put new wires, distributors ,rotors, dry gas in which it needed it!!!but the car is still doing the same thing!! my brother(mechanic thats to far from me)say it could be my ignition coils going bad or fuel filter needs to be change or the fuel pump is bad!!!! :o !is there a tutorial on how to changed the coils!! i need help!!!!! i been reading some of the threads here about the "Dreaded Trunk Wires" that can cause the problems!if so,what kind wire (gauge) do i need to replaced!! please someone have a tutorial on this also!!!!

Yes, the broken wires in the left trunk hinge can cause this problem.

Here are some instructions: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/lighting/bulbout.html I had to fix this on the 90 LS I used to have.

found the problem,it was my altenator wire that was corroded(from the alt)that was robbing me of my power to the engine,in which i couldn't go faster as expected!! does anyone know where i can get this wire from??????

I have found Rich Industries to be a good place for small parts like that. Their prices are very reasonable and they usually do not have a problem shipping small parts outside of the Kansas City area. www.rich-industries.com
