Override The Gps?!?!

Is there any way to override the gps in an 07 ES350? I would like to do this so people in the car can change the directions in the nav and be able to search through the songs, etc. I heard that it wasn't possible on the new gen software! Does anyone know if this can be done?

It can be done with illegal modificatiions(cutting certain wires), but if anything happens and you need to have Lexus service, they won't honor the factory warranty.

I tried to do what the post said but I couldn't get it to work, I tried many times lol! Is there any way to do it besides illegal stuff or nav discs??

You have a newer version software on your nav system, so those steps won't work for you unless you run a hybrid disc.

yes there is a way! it involves removing the entire nav unit, splicing a wire and adding a switch. i did it myself and it works fine. the instructions are available if you surf this site. good luck!
