crain21
Has anyone experience a grinding noise coming from behind the stereo console area? It's not a metalic noise but it sounds like a paper jam in an old HP printer. It just keep making this grinding or churning noise continuously. Any ideas on what this noise could be would be appreciated. Thanks for you help.
smooth1
Does it do it with the ac and fans off?
Ralvater
Does it do it with the ac and fans off? I have it too. Yes it does do it with AC and Fans off. I was thinking about removing the console to try to find it. But I have to figure out how to get the trim off.
blk_on_blk
That's the servo mechanism for the venting system... a very common problem. Just do a search on here about it and there are several threads. One suggestion is to clean the contacts and it 'solves' the problem, but some have cleaned it and it does the exact same thing upon reinstall. Replacing it is a sure fix. Mine does the same thing... makes all sorts of 'churning' noises, but everything works fine, so I'm not going to mess with it until it starts to effect the controls. Thanks for the reply. Yes everything works fine but I want the noise gone. At least now I know where to start. Take care.
