Stak
The oil change on this car is a piece of cake. I'm tired of paying $140.00 for that and a quick look and car wash. Can I do my own anhave my warrenty intact? Stak
Chuy
Just changed the oil in our ES350 today; car has 25K and I've changed the oil all five times. Warranty is not affected because it's routine service - like changing your wiper blades or coolant. I believe only warranty work must be done by a dealership. The PITA with Lexus oil changes is the cannister oil filter. It makes for a messy job. My Tacoma has a spin-on filter pointing upward right next to the battery - all oil changes should be that easy! Just be sure to save all your receipts for oil and filters in case the engine developes a problem. The Lexus v6 takes 6.4 quarts. That's a lot of oil; so be sure to buy a large oil container. I have an 8-quart container and it's barely enough. Get a 10-quart if you can find one.
SW03ES
Absolutely, just keep records that the oil has been changed.
