naj
Bought New 04 RX 330 AWD. Has 550 Miles on it. I can hear a constant ticking sound from engine when idling. Sound was there when I drove it away form dealer. It is akin to the sound of a mechanical swiss watch. I also heard it on many other similar models. So it appears to be a common sound for this 2004 RX330's engine. Any idea what this is due to? I also own 99 RX 300 with 90K and no ticking sound at all. rtpatter
I too have noticed this noise from my RX 330. Mine has about 8,500 miles I just purchased it used. I assumed it was normal
blue_rx330
I recently had my RX330 in for service, and this is one of the items I wanted checked. Here is their response to my complaint from my invoice: "[explain to customer] the noise is common in every Lexus. It is injector noise" Upon further discussion with my service tech - he said that there's a case open with lexus on this issue and lots of people complain about it.
