Nav On '99 Gs 400

Hi all, i've picked up a '99 GS400 with Nav. i understand that it is a CD based navigation sytem, and i wanted to find out how i update the info on it. i'm sure the '00 version probably had more roads/addresses/POI added to it. Dealer wants $500 for the disc (are you kidding me????) any suggestions as to where i can get a copy of the '00 version?

I believe in that year it was actually hard drive based. To get the update you have to change out the hard drive.

I just purchased a 2000 Lexus GS400, and it is a hard-drive based navigation system - how do update it however??

Hard drive based navigation has to be ordered and installed by dealer. Be aware that the generation 1 hard drive based systems are only current to July 2004.
