tom123 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I HAVE 1999 GS 300 WITH NAV BUT I WANT TO UPGRADE WITH THE MOST CURRENT NAV MAPS SYSTEM.I WANT TO DO MYSELF.PLEASE ANYONE LETS ME KNOW HOW TO INSTALL AND UPGRADED STEP BY STEP.I WILL BE APPRECIATE VERY MUCH. I COULDN'T FIND WHERE THE CD NAV LOCATED IN THE CAR. THANK YOU
SW03ES Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Your nav system does not have a CD, its a hard drive based system. In order to upgrade the maps you have to replace the entire hard drive, and unfortunately they stopped making new updates for that system. I think the last one you can get is 2005... Do a search, there should be plenty of info here on the subject.

sakataj Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 i could be wrong as this could be a model change or something but my 2001 gs430 has the nav in the right corner of my trunk and i can pop my cd out....so i dunno if there was something special bout the 99's or what but i dunno y u couldnt upload a new disc with fresh maps! i just did!
