Harley
Hello, everyone, I am a new Lexus RX330 owner and just discovered this forum. I have spent some time looking through this forum, and I thought I saw somewhere someone mentioning NOT to wax in a circular motion but to wax in a straight line. All these years of washing and waxing a car, I have always used the "wax on," "wax off" motion ala Karate Kid. Now, I realize that I've been improperly waxing my car! Doh! My question is: when washing the car, should I also move in a linear motion or is it ok to apply the soap in a circular motion or does it matter? Thanks and sorry if this is somewhere else in the forum. I did a search and tried to re-read the forum, but could not find this answer. Thanks in advance. :)
acf
I would think the same logic would apply since if you have anything on your wash mit or whatever that might leave fine scratches, they will be more visible if in a circular pattern as opposed to linear. SW03ES
Never touch the car in a circular motion, be it washing, waxing or polishing. ;)
