Transmission Sensor Throttle

Recommended Posts

I have a 1992 sc300 with 197k miles. Ive had trouble this last week with

over drive light flashing on and off and automatic transmission feels like its

slipping, wheels not engage? Anyway I took it to be fixed, they think it's

the THROTTLE Sensor and estimate repairs at $485-- they want to wait another

day to see if they can get the transmission code to read out the error code.

By the way my local AutoZone says they only have the engine code readers

and they don't have one for anything older than 1996 for Lexis.

under your hood your have a diagnostic conector

on that connector jump e1 and te1

use a paper clip or small wire to connect them together

then turn your ignition on and engine off.

count the flashes

then look up code
