About a year ago I had new brakes put on my '95 LS400 by a small shop. After replacement the brake indicator light came on. I have not been able to take it back to get this taken care of. The brakes work fine and there is plenty of pad remaining on both the front and rear. I have looked around the front pads and notice that there is wire coming from the brake assembly on the drivers side but not on the passenger side. I am guessing that this is the wear indicator wire. Is this the normal setup, one wire on one side? How do I fix this so the brake indicator light goes out? Is there a way to bypass the system?

Thank you in advance,

Paul

The wire is on both right sides only.

If you short the wire it thinks the pads are not low and have not worn through the sensor.

Just buy a new sensor and replace , it slides on the brake pad.
