Unknown Sound When Put Into Reverse

Anyone ever put the car in reverse (like backing down a driveway), then put the car in drive and hear some type of "spring" or "ping" noise coming from the footwell area? If so, what the heck is it?

I get the same noise on my 08' as well. I had an 04' GX before and it didn't do this...

"spring" noise? This is after you backed out of your driveway and you are putting the car in "D" on the flat surface? It is normal. I have it in both the GX and my 4Runner.

Try it on a regular flat surface parking lot, it should do the same thing, regardless if there's an incline or not.
