GX 470 law Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 Anyone ever put the car in reverse (like backing down a driveway), then put the car in drive and hear some type of "spring" or "ping" noise coming from the footwell area? denslexusgx470 Posted May 8, 2008 Share Posted May 8, 2008 "spring" noise? This is after you backed out of your driveway and you are putting the car in "D" on the flat surface? It is normal. I have it in both the GX and my 4Runner. Try it on a regular flat surface parking lot, it should do the same thing, regardless if there's an incline or not.
