lenore Posted June 30, 2009 Author Posted June 30, 2009 tirerack discontinued that size 225/70/16. anyway went to costco, they said the put a latitude on. said was basically same tire (different tread pattern)...Then they wanted to prorate. I politely told them that their plug failed and caused my tire to be damaged and I would not pay. they called manager and he agreed. Said they had never had a plug fail.
SW03ES Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I wouldn't put two tires of any different tread pattern on the same axle...whether they are very similar or not...you have no idea what the differences in sidewall construction are, weight, rolling resistance...bad idea IMHO.
lenore Posted June 30, 2009 Author Posted June 30, 2009 Hey as picky as costco is with their wear policy and putting tires on, it was their idea. Said the tires are virtually the same, same rubber compounds etc. I could call Michelin and find out....
