Are These Parts Interchangeable

Hey guys im a new member and own a 95 sc300 and im just wondering if the newer steering and airbag set up from the 99 sc300 would work on a 95 sc. Also if the newer automatic gate can be transfered to the older modles with out changing transmissions. Any help would be great.

nah, I'm afraid not. You'd have to change the entire setup, and the airbag plugs need to be modified. If you want to modify your current steering wheel with wood trim, there are some companies that can do that for you.

The shifter won't work at all. The shifter-case and the transfer cases are completely different. Sorry

The gated shifter thing probably won't work without a complete tranny/computer change. The airbag thing might work though. Need to verify that though. If the plugs are the same, it should work. You'd have to call Lexus on that one. Start with a local dealer parts dept. first.

Gated shifter WILL work. Its a matter of getting some wiring work done and a few longer bolts. The SC300 is W-A-Y easier than the 400 swap, as the 98-00 SC400's had a five speed auto instead of the 92-97's four speed auto.
