Rodders
Hi - and welcome!!
Zarlov
Well, I have to give back the black GS 300 today to the dealer after a very fun weekend evaluation. I'm getting ready to run a VIN check on CarFax to verify it's got a clear title. The only thing I'm slightly worried about is a vibration in the front of the car between speeds of about 25 and 45 MPH. I believe it's only a wheel that needs to be balanced, but when I'll see if that's the case when I put my Supra's Volk 18"s on it. If it doesn't go away, then I guess it may be a problem with a CV joint or maybe a wheel baring? It's a 99 and only has 42k miles on it. Hey, that reminds me, quick question: How do you get the memory seat stuff to work? There's no factory manual and I can't figure out the seat 1, seat 2, and set buttons. I've hit them a bunch and it doesn't seem to do anything. The remote trunk opener also doesn't seem to work. I unlocked it with the key upfront, but it still doesn't respond. Hmmmm. Issues I guess I'll have to take up with the dealer. Anyway, cool forum. I should be here a lot once I get my GS. See you around guys! -Zarlov
Rodders
Hi Zarlov The seat memory works by pressing the set button first, and then the memory button - you have to be in park, with the ignition on. Hold both buttons and you'll get a beep after about a second - all done. It memorizes the positions of drivers seat, both wing mirrors and the steering column. As far as the judder goes, the GS300 appears to be notorious for this, and on my car at least, has always been due to wheel balancing. I get mine does at a performance car tyre specialist, and need it done about every 15K miles. Cheers Rod
Rodders
I meant to say also, to unlock the trunk with the key remote you have to press and hold it for a few seconds. The default time is 2 seconds, but this can be modified to longer or shorter, as it's part of the Cbest system.
