ls430dude Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I am leaning towards Michelin Primacy MXV4 for the 2005 LS 430 (245/45-18) tires. Does the OEM come with 'V' rated tires? Please help.
SW03ES Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I believe the OEM tires on the LS430 are actually H rated... The Primacy is a good choice.
wwest Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 I buy the lowest speed rated tires for the highest speed which I except I will be driving for extended periods, 80 MPH tops. Bridgestone Turanzas seem to be the quietest and most comfortable riding on my LS400.
SW03ES Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 You should always replace the tires on your car with tires that are at least the same speed rating as the tires that came from the factory. I know some people don't agree with that, but speed rating doesn't just have to do with sustained levels of speed. Rubber compounds and sidewall stiffness are different, and the suspension geometry of the car is designed around a specific set of criteria from the tires. They didn't decide to use a specific speed rating by chance.
