They actually "sell" the plugs to the service department. the service tech then gaps them accordingly. And, I just thought of this, you can go to the parts dept. and buy the plugs yourself directly from them. Then open the box and check the gap. it will be .026 -.028. Then walk over the the service dept. and ask what the spec gap is for your car. Tell them your just purchased these plugs from the parts dept. and see if they will gap them for ya. :)
eatingupblacktop Posted January 31, 2008 Posted January 31, 2008 I've always checked and gapped every plug myself. I just thought with the dealerships' bottom line motivation that Lextechs would use pre-gapped.
