savannah_mike Posted December 20, 2007 Share Posted December 20, 2007 I recently purchased a used Smart key for my 2005 LS430 off eBay. I took it to my Lexus dealer today and they said it could not be programmed to my car because it was not unprogrammed from it's original car. They also said the blade could not be updated to my car. Robert Young Posted December 21, 2007 Share Posted December 21, 2007 They may be correct. The attached key registration procedure specifies a NEW unregistered key. I briefly glanced through and didn't see anything that might allow unregistering a key from another vehicle.
