GARY NELIUS Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 2003 ES300 WITH 76000 MI. A/C UNIT STOPED WORKING ALL OF A SUDDEN. THE A/C UNIT ON BUTTON KEEPS BLINKING WHEN YOU TURN UNIT ON.,BUT NO COLD AIR. CALLED LEXUS DEALER AND THEY SAID TO CHECK THE A/C RELAY SWITCH UNDER THE HOOD. MY QUESTION IS WHERE IS THE RELAY SWITCH LOCATED. ALSO I CHECKED THE FREON LEVEL ON THE LOW PRESSURE SIDE AND WITHOUT THE COMPRESSOR RUNNING IS SHOWS A HIGH HEAD PRESSURE WHICH IM NOT SURE IF THAT IS NORMAL WHEN THE COMPRESSOR IS NOT RUNNING. I KNOW THAT YOU USE TO BE ABLE TO UNPLUG A WIRE OFF THE UNIT AND SHORT IT OUT WITH A WIRE BETWEEN THE PLUG AND THAT WOULD MAKE COMPRESSOR COME ON IF IT WAS LOW ON FREON SO THAT YOU COULD ADD FREON.,BUT ON THESE NEW CARS I'M NOT SURE EVEN WHERE THIS PLUG IS OR IF ITS STILL POSSIBLE TO DO THIS. ANYWAY I SURE WOULD APPRICIATE ANY HELP ON THIS MATTER.
SW03ES Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Please don't type in all caps ;) I had the exact thing happen to mine, it was a bad A/C relay I just went back in my service records to see.

Lextek1 Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 Under the hood, in the relay box, labled A/C MG CL. 50 bucks.
