Lori Ryan Kleinschmidt Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 I previously posted a couple of weeks ago. My 94 ES came to a light and just shut down on me. When I tried to restart it it kept sputtering and would shut right down with the check engine light on. Had it towed and our mechanic had it for 3 weeks. Initially thought it was the Mass Air Flow Sensor but it was not. Nothing came up when they put it on the computer After the 3 weeks, we had it towed to Toyota. They went over it and said that nothing came up on the computer and couldn't find anything wrong it it. Brought it home - it actually drove ok for 3 miles and it did it again. It has now been towed back into Toyota. We are at a loss but the car is becoming unreliable as it is. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Lori
lenore Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 The Throttle position sensor maybe sticking. ( I am guessing by your indication) Probably needs cleaning.
