Gs300Luver Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Soooo.. I check my transition oil today (cold).. and its WAYYYYYYY past were it suposed to be.. I mean really full.. I been drinving like this for a while now.. I am so scared.. What does this mean?? Will it be all messed up now? Should I take it to someone to fix it?? should I take some out.. what do I do.. I bought the car last week.. do you think the guy did that because it has transition problems?

I bought the car last week.. do you think the guy did that because it has transition problems? First, Drain and fill to spec. I am almost certain that the fill is 2 qts. ( that is what my fill is on my 1998 gs300 ). DOUBLE CHECK YOUR OWNERS MANUAL.
SRK Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Did you check the level with engine idling in neutral, car on level ground, or did you check it with the engine off? It must be checked with the engine running, otherwise the level will appear quite high.
