Better Car/value 2004 Ls 430 Or Gs 430?

I currently drive a 1990 ls 400 with 180,000 miles and beginning to run into service problems. Ready to throw in the towel. Will purchase a 2004 Lexus. Either a gs 430 or ls 430. The ls 430 without the ultra package looks the the better car and value. Is the ultra package worth the money?

Well, the GS and the LS are really two very different cars. The LS is much smoother quieter, and a good bit bigger while the GS is throatier and sportier. I personally prefer the LS, but the GS is sportier if thats what you like.

Also, the GS will be revamped in 2005, so you'll only have a new model for a year, and right now Lexus has seriosuly slowed the production of the GS, and GS430s are hard to find. The 04 LS is a refresh and it'll be the new car until at least 2006 if not 2007.

I say go with the LS430. We just looked at one in depth for my dad, and its a beauty for sure.
