It might a slight bit (if really bad). I would replace them if that old. I do mine every 60 to 90K miles. Too gain more MPG use FP+ from Lube Control or Netrua 131. The worse thing, maybe the only bad thing, that can happen with old spark plug wiring is the spark energy jumping from one wire to another close by.
