Universal Catalyc Converters

i have a 99 gs 300 would it be possible to put universal cats instead of having to pay an arm and a leg for them at the dealer and if they do work does anyone have any idea what size they are?

I had a '92 Camry that I put a universal catalytic converter in. I paid about $80 for it and then around $80 in labor to have it installed. It worked enough to pass the emissions test, but it went bad about a year later. The converter supposedly had a lifetime warranty, but I decided it wasnt worth it to fix again. So I sold the car.

i believe Eastern Catalytic Converter makes decent replacements.
