2rotor
Ok well the Lexus is back up and running great (waterpump/timing belt replacement) and I really need to get the suspension done before I go too much further on the car (1991 LS). The chassis has 312,000 miles and is running on stock parts so it's as loose as a $10 hooker... Whatever that means. I want a lower, sportier feel to the suspension while not sacrificing the luxury aspect of the car. I like tight but do not tell me to cut the springs or empty the airbags or whatever.... Any advise? They sell lowering springs (-1 inch) and tighter shocks (GR-2's, etc.) but lowering/tightening WILL affect the luxury feel of the car. How about a smaller aspect tire on a larger rim, like a +2, will give lower stancelook without affecting ride quality, to much extent. Smaller aspect tires will affect suspension a tad. JP_UCF11
I've seen springs made by H&R that gives 1" inch all around and the spring rates is definitely stiffer than stock. Shocks wise...anything will do since the spring determines the stiffness of the ride If you want it to be quite stiff...look into getting full coilovers. There isn't much out there when it comes to coilovers for the LS400. The only thing i've found for coilovers is from Junction Produce. They cost about $2200 US for the set.
