Hey does anyone know how to turn off/reset the oil maintenance reminder? I have a 2007 Lexus ES 350 with navigation. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. I already tried pressing the trip meter reset button while the car is off and and then keeping the trip meter button pressed down while setting the engine switch to IG-ON. Nothing happened. So I either did something wrong or maybe I was going about it all wrong? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have never tried it but there are specific instructions in the owners manual.

On the '09 with Nav, press the INFO button above the temp controls. Then select MAINTENANCE. There are about 15 different maintenance reminders....one is Oil.

With the car off:

1) with the odometer in the full vehicle mileage display, press the trip odometer button in and hold it.

2) with your foot off the brake, press the start button.

3) Wait until the odometer display begins to flash 00000000.

4) Release the trip odometer button.

5) Turn the car off.

It's now reset for another 5k miles.
