Y-pipe And Cat Convereter

Hello,

Took my 1997 ES300 to the local garage today, and they said the Y-pipe where it meets the Cat convereter needs replacing, bu they need to replace the complete combination with the cat convereter. Estimated cost $850.

Is there a less expensive option? Can I buy the parts for much less and have it installed somewhere?

$850 is a little bit high. should be in the $700 range using an aftermarket assm
