My 90 LS400 shows code 13.. RPM signal.. My car starts and runs okay.. but when i put it in park and step on the gas and when the RPM hits around 3500 the engine starts choking or hesitating..Also i can seems to run the car more than 100 MPH.. whne i reach 105 it will start hesitating.. anyone know how to fix the crank sensor? or RPM signal sensor?

thank you..

When and where is the last time you changed your timing belt? About 1 year ago I had similiar problem with RPM positioning sensor. The shop that changed my timing belt did not seat the sensor wires back in it's groove, and the timing belt constantly rubbed against the wire and eventually destroyed the sensor. My symptom with code 13 is the car sometimes lurches forward at red light and occationally hesistates to accelerate. All that is fixed when my local Toyota dealer replaced the two sensors.
