Recommended Posts

Anyone know how to get into the HIDDEN MENU for these DVD Navigator? Apparently, once it is unlocked, it removes certain restrictions, and allows you to watch DVD Movies as well.

WOW that would be amazing, please someone if you know reply to this so we can learn how to unlock this amazing feature

Thanks for all the tips, guys!! Now, I can finally watch DVD movies, but must be in the Park Position, and HandBrake Pedal pressed before it'll work. We're getting very close! Now, all we need is to unlock it fully, to make it able to watch DVD's while the car is moving!!

Obviously ! - in your dreams! The only way that the DVD player is playing is (1) the handbake(pedal break) is on, and (2) the car is not moving. These are security features that are build into most "off the shelve" DVD/Navigation systems as well as factory installed systems. It's regulations and I do not think it can be override...I tried.

I tried to just engage the food depal a little, just so that the brakelight/indicator come on, but then the system realizes the vehichle is moving and disable the DVD playback (this was with the Pioneer NAV system) - I think they basically works all the same...

BTW - I really do not think it is to good of an idea to watch a DVD while driving a vehicle.......that may just add more dangerous idiots to our wonderful, safe roads...think about it...

The search tool is a wonderful thing. Anyway, costaletech.com sells a device called, 'lockpick' which does the trick ... plus it opens up the MFD for several other movement related issues.

Just when you figue everyone in the world already knew . . .

:P

enjoy!
