fortIs
Does anybody know how much the dealer will charge to program new sensors?
terry993
I did it once with the existing ones after I got a flat. Not that difficult with the manual. Maybe it is a dealer-only job with new ones.
chumleyIS250M/T
Just had to replace a sensor due to broken valve stem. $220 total. $120 for sensor, $100 for flat tire/reprogram. Reprogramming is only necessary when there is a new sensor added in.

Motoracer
Does anybody know how much the dealer will charge to program new sensors? I bought 17" winter wheels and tires for my '07 IS350 at Direct Tire (Natick, MA). We discovered that the Lexus has not made the programming equipment available to independent shops, so I had to take it to Lexus of Watertown where they programmed the sensors for $100. Where exactly is the TPMS located on the wheel?
bartkat
Theyre integral with the valve stems. If you look you'll see that the stems are metal instead of rubber. The TPMS part is attatched to that inside the wheel.
