Brooklyn Digital Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Hello all, I've had my tranny flushed and now I feel every gear shift. I had a 2007 Camry and it did the hesitation dance also ( fly by wire throttle ) Also, when should I change the coolant? Thanks again, Carmine
ArmyofOne Posted June 22, 2007 Posted June 22, 2007 Hello all, I've had my tranny flushed and now I feel every gear shift. I had a 2007 Camry and it did the hesitation dance also ( fly by wire throttle ) Also, when should I change the coolant? Thanks again, Carmine I change coolant once a year, but thats probably overkill, im just picky about the maintenance on my cars. How "hard" are the shifts? was the fluid any color other than cherry red before it was flushed? Im not sure if you can use Dexron or if it has to be toyota Type III or IV, but if it does have to be that, you need to get the regular Dexron III out of there now, or you will be buying a new tranny very soon. I know my wifes matrix has to have toyota type IV, BUT, my wife and I's matrix XR is a FAR cry from an LS430...no matter how you slice it, even though its fully loaded.
Brooklyn Digital Posted June 23, 2007 Author Posted June 23, 2007 Thanks guys, I had Toyota do the flush ( type T-IV used ) I hope. The shifts are not hard but there... not B4 the flush ( or I'm feeling too much )
The Big Bow Wow Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 my tranny dipstick shows type T-II where can i get this on a weekend?
wandawoods Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 my tranny dipstick shows type T-II where can i get this on a weekend? type T-IV is to replace type T-I/II/III (discontinued) and it's backward compatible to all older generations.
The Big Bow Wow Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 do local auto parts stores sell it? or is it dealership only?
mejojo Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 do local auto parts stores sell it? or is it dealership only? Toyota dealer. You can get it at a Lexus dealer, too, but it usually costs more. (Are there any Lexus dealers not right next to a Toyota?) Joe
