CReynolds Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Does anybody have a step-by step write up on how to remove the radio on a 1998 LS400? I'm having trouble removing the vents above the climate control. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
dcfish Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 The vents pull out. Be firm and use a flat blade wrapped in electrical tape. Be careful they will come out.

CReynolds Posted June 18, 2007 Author Posted June 18, 2007 Why are you removing the headunit ? I added Sirius radio. I needed to add a direct FM module inline with the antenna connection.
oslo Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 When I removed the vents in my '98 they wouldn't go back in right. The horizontal fins fell out and don't seem to fit back the way they used to be. Any suggestions?

I put the assembly back together before installing it in the dash.
