Connecting Rod Replacement

if you do go through the bottom end you would need to take the crank out. these kinds of "in depth" repairs are easier if you just pull the motor. why do you want to take the rods out anyway?

Had a bent rod...and your wrong about the crankshaft..the rod and piston came out just fine through the top after taking the head off...I know because I did it myself with the factory manual.
