SPRUCE SC300 Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Last night I noticed that my driver door has become increasing difficult to open & close. Will I need to rebuild the hinge or will a little white lithium grease save my weekend?
SKperformance Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 white grease it for a couple of days to work its way in
AWJ Posted August 29, 2003 Posted August 29, 2003 Lithium grease is your friend. Also, your door can be adjusted if it possibly has sagged down a little over time. And then you can replace/repair the hinge assy., but it is a pita.
SPRUCE SC300 Posted August 29, 2003 Author Posted August 29, 2003 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lithium grease is your friend. Also, your door can be adjusted if it possibly has sagged down a little over time. And then you can replace/repair the hinge assy., but it is a pita. The doors are nice & tight, no sag at all, however It's been raining alot and the lithium that was there may have been washed out. I'm going to Westmarine after work and picking up some marine grade white Lith. Thanks for all the help. :D
