Also, you may want to check the connections to the battery, they may have lost their capacity to conduct due to build-up betweet the batt. post and the terminal cable connector, or possibly the cable has gone bad. Although I've never experienced it with the RX I've encountered it a few times on other vehicles. In any case a quick inspection of the cables and few strokes with a wire brush will clear it up if thats the problem.
