93 Ls Remove Headrest

Does any awesome Lexus owner knows to remove the POWER HEADREST FOR 93 LS400 so ican install SHEEPSKIN COVERS. Your Tip will be really apprciated.

For a 91 it's fairly easy:

1. REMOVE HEADREST

(a) (Manual Type)

While pushing the lock button, pull up the headrest to remove

it.

(B) (Electrical Type)

Slide the headrest upward.

While pushing the supports, remove the headrest.

Hope this helps since you have a 1st generation LS400.

I have a 93 LS400 and removed the headrests so I could install new leather aftermarket seat covers. After removing the plastic utility cover on the back of the front seat, peel back the top of the seat cover to visualize the power head rest mechanism. I removed the entire seat cover. Toward the top there are two small diagonal black clips which prevent the head rest post from coming out. Just push the tip of the two clips simultaneously toward the middle of the seat with a pair of screw drivers which will release the headrest post so it can be pulled out. Just push back in when reinstalling.
