georgecz Posted April 24, 2007 Share Posted April 24, 2007 Hello All - Curious problem - I've had my es300 1996 for 10+ years - love it! Everything runs great (knock wood) - Recently the passenger side door automatically locks itself when you shut the door. You can press the key lock/unlock (or flip the button inside the car) and the doors appear to unlock/lock. But the passenger door from the outside is still locked. The only way to open the door is to open the handle from the inside. Now once you shut the door you can hear the door lock. Does/has anyone experienced this? lemonhead Posted April 28, 2007 Share Posted April 28, 2007 OMG this just happened to me yesterday! The door worked fine in the morning but later that evening, my passenger couldn't get in! When we close the door we hear something jiggling inside which makes me believe something broke off. I'm calling different mechanic friends but I'm not sure if they could help me.
