ShaunR
Hello All-can I get some help with this. I took my 02 to get an oil change. The check engine light came on right after. I notice on the paper-work they place mobile 1 5-30. I have always place mobile 1 10-30. I can tell the differents in the ride or is it my mind playing tricks on me. Today I took the car to aamco to get the code and 3 came up P1350, B2795, and B2798. Do any one know what the codes are and what should I do about the oil mixes up? I was told the P1350 is the Ignition Control System and the B codes were the body code for key to ignition. It has 70,000 miles on it and I hope the Ignition Control System is not screwed up. steviej
To answer your other question, both 5W-30 and 10w-30 oils are acceptable and recommended for your 02 ES. The 5W-30 is preferred in winter climates as it will be more free flowing in extreme cold temps compared to the 10w-30. I wonder if when they did the oil change, they might have dislodged or broke an electronic harness. The VVT (bank 2) code draws my attention to that area. Bank 2 is the set of cylinders up front by the radiator. The oil filter is immediately under the exhaust manifold on this bank of cylinders. The oil filter is best accessed from under the hood, not under the car. Somebody (the garage that did the work) might have snagged a cable or wire. Have you called them to report the codes immediately following their work? steviej
ShaunR
Hi steviej-Yes, I immediately reported the problem to Walmart store manager because the check engine light was on when I started my car. Does this cause damagers to my engine or any other parts?
