99lexus Posted April 14, 2007 Share Posted April 14, 2007 Hi, The 99 ES300 owner manual recomend "Dexron III" lead me to fill Valvoline Max in to my trasmision. After everything done, I saw the dipstick say "TOYOTA TYPE IV." - Should I stay with the Valvoline? - Drain and Fill with Toyota T IV to minimize the Valvoline? If I do it, will it do something wrong to the trasmision? I have this question since some body say that replace all the fluid at the same time may clean the old stuff from the trany and produce clog. - Do you know why the Owner manual say "Dexron III" when the dipstick say "Toyota T IV?"
