poneyboy
Hi all, I'm usually in the ES300 group, but I'm seriously thinking about one of these IS300s and was wondering if you folks find it relatively easy to work on? Or do most of you folks take the car to a dealer? I tend to do my own work to save money and make sure the work is done right. Rarely will my cars go to a dealer and when they have to, I'm always nervous that it won't be treated properly. -S
bartkat
Most stuff on an IS300 is fairly easy to get to. The oil filter is a little akward, but with the right tool it's not that hard. Engine air filter, cabin filter, battery and all that sort of thing area all very easy to access. I find it easier to maintain than a Honda Civic. poneyboy
Thanks Bartkat, you've basically told me what I wanted to know. I loathe working on Hond Civics. And it seems that they've gotten more crowded under the hood.
