Pirate
The power steering was leaking on my 95' SC400 at the pump and at deteriorating hoses and fittings (160,000 miles all original parts). Had the local Toyota dealer do the repairs as I had neither the time or inclination to do this job. New power steering pump, new high pressure hose, new return hose, re-manufactured rack and pinion, 4 wheel alignment $2782.64 w/tax.

csufpk
Wow, my cost of a Toyota oem rack replacement is $280 brand new.. talk about markups. And FYI, anyone else who gets this shop done, should track down a good Toyota/Lexus independent shop to do it. These are the prices you should aim for: Rack & Pinion NEW, not rebuilt: $280 PS Pump: $180ish PS high pressure hose: $320 Return hoses: $15 ATF fluid for ps system: $8-15 Labor: $200 apprx Alignment: $55-75 Total should run about $1,200 at most.
