BjCaleb Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Hello everybody, I'm thinking about buying a 1997-1999 ES300....I seen a few with over 130k miles, but Im not worried because I know these cars last forever...How the cars in terms of reliability and service? Are they pretty inexpensive to maintain..I know tires, brakes, and oil changes are regular things... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
lexusk8 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 If you say you're not worried about the longevity of the high mileage ES's, just go out and buy one. You won't regret it. Just keep an eye especially on those with a flaky maintenance history.
chadmg7 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 In my experience, my 97 has been no more expensive to maintain than a Camry would have been. I can bring it to the Toyota dealership since it shares so many mechanical similarities with the Camry. Overall, I've been very happy with mine. Owned it since June 2003... now has 113,000 on it and it's still going strong.
bloxxlex Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Great cars. I am sure you will be happy with one. Just make sure to check the records. Oil changes are key since these cars have sludge issues.
