ZeroZ4
I recently received my parents 2003 RX300 as a permanent car for college. They could not afford to buy me a car so they decided to give me the lexus that is just sitting in the garage collecting dust. There are a few questions I have that my parents could not answer. If anyone could help me I'd appreciate it. I am sorry if these questions have been asked. I have done a search, but none really answered my questions. 1. Can the DVD navigation system play DVDs? If so, how? 2. My navi system is version 02.1 (something like that). Where can I get the most updated DVD besides the dealer (poor college student cannot afford to pay $500)? Will the latest DVD update the interface (the brown interface is extremely ugly!)? I love my new car, but I cannot stand just getting 20mpg. I am a working college student, but 95% of my paycheck pays for my apartment rent. I barely have enough to buy Premium gas for the RX (Sometimes not enough). Thanks for your replies. tmastres
The only thing I can help you with is to suggest trying a tank of regular gas and see if you notice any difference. I run my 00 RX on 87 exlusively and it runs fine. And not to be a wise-guy but you could sell the 03 RX and probably buy a brand new or nearly new Scion Tc or similar. Better mileage and maybe more appropriate for a college kid (fun-wise)
ZeroZ4
Hah. A Scion. No Way! I love the luxury and quality of Lexus too much to sell it. If I were to sell It, it would only be for another Lexus. I can not downgrade. I would love a brand new IS350, but after selling the RX I would have to come up with another 25k. Sigh. Thanks for your reply.
