Can someone assist with the location of the transmission fluid drain plug and some simple instructions for changing ATF on the RX 330. I do my oil changes, brake pads, etc. and could use some DIY help. Thanks.

Fellow Georgian, you should always do a search for your problem first so more people are willing to help you on this forum. Here is a link that I found by searching for "transmission fluid change".

Good luck!

:whistles: but...he has a RX330 not a RX300...

glideusmc...I am not sure about the drain plug...if you have searched on here and not found the answer just give it some time and someone else will surely post the way to do it.

I was not trying to be mean, in fact, the opposite trying to be helpful. ;)

And, again I'm not trying to be mean, but I could use the instructions from the above link to change the transmission fluid in my 4 cylinder Toyota Camry! But, hey I could be wrong and this would not be the first time. Perhaps, others with more intimate knowledge of the RX330 could pitch in.

Same transmission pan drain plug location and front differential drain plug location as the RX300. By pulling both plugs, expect to drain out a little over 4 quarts of Type T-IV transmission fluid. Be sure to wipe off the magnetic tip of the front differential drain plug.

I did not think by any means that you were trying to be mean. But you did say he should search...I searched and found nothing related to changing the tranny fluids on a RX330...so he could have tried. I just simply wanted to point out that he has a different car.

It is a different tranny and I would think that they require different fluids and/or amounts.

Thanks. Will wait for some good scoop from someone who's done it and knows where the drain plug is before I start un-!Removed! the plastic covers from below the drivetrain for access.
