mightrolla Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 So I'm new here but been looking around. Ok, I have seached the whole forum and still could not find what i'm looking for. 2000 ES300 when i'm driving doing 60-65 it feels like the tranny is not shifting into overdrive. It would stay in high RPMs and and once in a while if the car gets warm it seem like it drop just a little. Had a p0768 shift solenoid d4 circut fault code come up. One more thing is who is our tranny controled, by the model right becuse my mech. say it automaicly defults through the cruise control. Is that true.
lexusk8 Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Sounds like one of your shift solenoids has electrically malfunctioned, hence causing your transmission to shift weird like that. I would get that solenoid ASAP, otherwise you'll risk damaging the entire transmission, be stuck on the road somewhere, and fork over lots of $$$ for a replacement transmission.
mightrolla Posted February 9, 2007 Author Posted February 9, 2007 Well replaced the shift solenoids but still its not shifting right. They tell me i need a new cruise controll, due to that it controls the overdrve. Is that true.

Lucas Transmission Fix does wonders for noisy transmissions, also. Pick up a bottle and change the fluid. Hope that helps. :)

Be sure your brake ligts aren't constantly on due to a failed or maladjusted switch maybe. On some cars the engine coolant must be above ~140F to enable the lockup clutch.
